How do I register for the 2018 Donate Life Walk online?
Click on the “Register Here” button and complete the form. You will be guided through the registration process. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email receipt. Please note: all Walkers over 13 and older will need to register. There is no fee to register, but we do encourage everyone to take advantage of their fundraising page.

How do I know if my registration went through?
After you've registered, you should receive a confirmation email. You will also be able to login and view your Headquarters, where you can edit your profile and look at your donations.


Why are we fundraising?
Unyts relies on fundraising support to increase awareness about organ, eye, tissue and blood donation. There are currently over 117,000 people waiting for a transplant, and about 22 people die each day because they did not receive the organ they needed in time. In addition, 1 in 7 people entering a hospital need blood. The need is constant, and monies raised through events like the Donate Life Walk are used to bring awareness to this public health crisis. Our fundraisers are an essential part of our organization’s success and are heroes to the WNY Community. Thank you for your support. We couldn’t do it without you! 

What is the Participation Center?
Once you are registered for this year's Walk, you will have access to the participation center. To get there, please log in to your account and click on the "Participation Center" button. Here, you can see your donations and manage your profile. This is where you can change your picture on your personal fundraising page, write your personal appeal, and update your Fundraising Goal.

Why do I need to set a fundraising goal?
Setting a goal and making a personal donation will encourage people to donate to your page.

Event Information

Where/When does the Walk begin?
The Donate Life Walk will take place in Delaware Park along Amherst Street by the Colvin Street entrance on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Registration & Check-In begins at 10am. The walk starts at 11am.

Do I need to visit the registration tent?
If you have not registered and you are 13 years of age or older, please visit the Registration tent to register. If you have registered but would like to turn in more donations, please go to the fundraising table.

What should I wear?
Dress appropriately based on the weather. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes in good condition.

What happens if it rains?
We’ll be walking rain or shine. We hope you’ll still join us, even if it rains!

Where can I park?
Parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at St. George Orthodox Church (2 Nottingham Terrace). Additional parking can be found on certain parts of Ring Road within the park and on neighboring streets. No parking allowed on the grass or golf course. 

If there is anyone in your party who has challenges with mobility, please drop them off at the event prior to parking.

How long is the walk?
The Walk is 1.78 miles.

Where do we get our Team Picture?
When your team members have arrived, Team Captains should take their Photo Pass to the designated photo area to have a photographer take your picture. Look for the Team Photo signs directing you to the proper area.

Where do I get a T-Shirt?
We will provide Walkers with special Donate Life Walk t-shirts. You can decorate the front of the shirts to honor donors, include your team name or theme or encourage people to give the Gift of Life. You can pick up shirts in advance by stopping at our headquarters at 110 Broadway, Buffalo 14203 anytime between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from September 3rd to September 21st. Photos of Donors
Pictures of those who have given the Gift of Life will be displayed throughout the park along the Walk of Remembrance. If you would like to submit a photo of your loved one who donated, please email a high-resolution photo with the donor’s name to Pasquale J. Maggiore at by August 14th. If you do not have a photo available electronically, you may also mail to Maureen’s attention at 110 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14203.

Donate Blood
Unyts will be holding a blood drive during the event. 

Memory Cards 
Unyts will provide materials and a place to display messages, pictures and memories for all to see. You are welcome to bring pictures to add to the cards. You may also create your own message cards in advance if you wish. (Cards and photos will not be returned, so please do not use original photographs.)

Are there bathrooms?
We will have porta potties available for all Walkers to use.

What if I have donations after the Walk?
We will gladly accept Walk donations until the end of October! Feel free to send to:
